travelling with kids, our room was not at the same level of the other room nor close to this one.
hotel located near commodities with basic breakfast and noisy AC.
Easy Check-in / Check-out, the Comfort of bed (mattress) could be improved.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely outstanding. We had arrived very late the night before and were shattered. The smiling receptionist found us a parking place which was so kind. The following day, technically, breakfast had closed but the lovely lady took pity on us and rustled up some food for us. How kind was that? The room was clean and comfortable but goodness me, the aircon sounds like a Navy jet taking off from China Lake!

The staff at property was super nice.
Breakfast had good spread and well stocked.
We chose Ridgecrest as we were visiting Death Valley national park and stay at this hotel and location made it very comfortable.

Not the best part of town, carbon dioxide alarm went off middle of night , took battery out and still couldn’t stop it, so packed up to just leave early (it was 4 am). Told clerk at front desk about it….she didn’t seem too concerned said “we should have called someone”. “Breakfast was minimal ……very basic . Would not stay there again.

We were pleased with the room and breakfast bar. After we left we received our room statement by email. A few hours later we received an addition $7 charge for Linen Damage. I called the hotel and asked to speak to the manager. The manager was not available and would not return our call as requested. The desk clerk said we had stained 1 hand towel and 2 wash clothes. They had taken pictures. I requested they send me the pictures and refund the $7. No pictures were sent to us. They refunded the additional charges. We have travelled for over 50 years in North America and oversees and NEVER received additional room charges for damages. Wherever we stay we are respectful of our surroundings. This experience was humiliating and degrading. We will never stay at the Best Western China Lake again.
